Staff Members

The Staff Member Settings section in the Salonly Plugin allows you to manage and display staff details in your booking form. This configuration helps connect your staff profiles with specific services, availability, and booking limits.


đź§© 1. Accessing Staff Settings

  1. In your WordPress Dashboard, go to:
    Salonly → Form Data → Staff Members
  2. You’ll see a section labeled “Setup Staff Member”.

🧑‍💼 2. Setup Staff Member Fields

Each staff profile can be customized with the following options:

Disable displayTurn ON to hide this staff member from the booking form.
ID (Must be unique)Enter a unique ID for this staff member (e.g., staff1). Avoid spaces and special characters.
Full nameEnter the staff member’s full name as it will appear to customers.
DesignationAdd the staff’s role or job title (e.g., “Hair Stylist”, “Therapist”).
Email addressEnter a valid email address to receive booking notifications.
PhoneProvide a contact number for internal or client reference.
SummaryAdd a short bio or description about the staff member’s experience, expertise, or specialties.
Default review starSet the initial default star rating (1–5). This will appear in customer reviews.
PhotoUpload or paste a URL for the staff member’s photo. This image will display in the booking form.

⏰ 3. Time Format & Conditional Logic

Time Format

Define how time will be displayed in the staff’s booking schedule (e.g., 12-hour or 24-hour format).

Conditional Logic (Under Service Types)

You can assign staff members to specific service types using conditional logic:

  • Choose whether the staff should always display or only display for specific services.
  • To create a new service type, click Add New beside “Conditional logic under service type”.

👥 4. Managing Multiple Staff Members

Each staff profile is displayed in an expandable panel.
You can:

  • Click the arrow to expand or collapse staff details.
  • Click “+ Add” to create a new staff profile.
  • Click the “×” icon to remove a staff member.

⚙️ 5. Global Staff Options

Any staff optionWhen enabled, customers can select “Any Staff” in the booking form, allowing the system to automatically assign available staff.
Set today dateEnable to automatically set today’s date as the default booking date.
Limit of daysDefine the number of days available for future bookings (e.g., 15 days).
Set weekendsSelect weekends to disable staff availability (e.g., Saturday, Sunday).
Disable datesChoose specific dates to disable bookings (e.g., holidays or leave days).
